Leading one of the nation’s strongest Red Cross chapters
Terri L. Badour leads the American Red Cross serving Greater Atlanta, one of the largest and strongest chapters in the country when it comes to delivering on its mission, engaging volunteers and inspiring generosity.
Before stepping into this role, Terri did double duty: she was the first woman to serve as CEO of the Red Cross of Georgia while also leading the Metro Atlanta chapter as executive director. In those roles she guided the organization’s response to disasters of every size—from home fires to hurricanes—while also supporting members of the armed forces and their families, organizing blood drives, engaging volunteers and offering health and safety training.
Why she does it
Terri calls it a privilege to meet the clients, blood and financial donors, partners and volunteers she serves—people she says have changed her life. Serving them under the Red Cross’s iconic, worldwide emblem, she says, is a humbling honor.

Terri says her proudest achievement is raising her daughter. Her other honors include:
